The top of the draft made the statement even louder.
AJ Dybantsa went No. 1 overall out of BYU, while Kansas star Darryn Peterson followed at No. 2. That gave the Big 12 the top two picks in the same draft, a historic marker for a conference that has steadily turned into one of college basketball’s strongest NBA pipelines.
