Kansas City Chiefs history & legends
The Kansas City Chiefs were founded in 1960 by Lamar Hunt as the Dallas Texans, a charter member of the American Football League, and moved to Kansas City in 1963. Hunt helped engineer the AFL-NFL merger and is credited with coining the name “Super Bowl.” The Chiefs compete in the AFC West.
Championship history
The Chiefs won AFL championships in 1962, 1966 and 1969. They played in the very first Super Bowl, losing to the Green Bay Packers, then won Super Bowl IV behind Len Dawson. After a 50-year wait, Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid built a modern dynasty, winning Super Bowl LIV, Super Bowl LVII and Super Bowl LVIII.

The Raiders rivalry dates back to the AFL’s first season and is one of the fiercest in football. The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers round out the AFC West, and a string of dramatic playoff meetings has made the Buffalo Bills a top modern rival.
