The Atlanta Hawks wrapped up their Salt Lake City Summer League schedule with another encouraging performance.
Despite resting several key players, Atlanta defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 96-82 on Tuesday to finish 2-1 before shifting its attention to the NBA 2K26 Summer League in Las Vegas.
The Hawks sat several notable contributors, including No. 3 overall pick Cameron Boozer, No. 8 overall pick Kingston Flemings, No. 23 overall pick Zuby Ejiofor, and a handful of returning players. Even so, Atlanta showcased its depth with six players scoring in double figures.
Devon Higgs stole the spotlight.
The former Division II standout from Georgia Southwestern State University continued his remarkable basketball journey by scoring a game-high 22 points on an efficient 7-of-9 shooting performance, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. Higgs also contributed five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks as he strengthened his case for continued NBA opportunities after previous stops in the G League and overseas.
Atlanta received contributions throughout the lineup.
Isaiah Wong added 15 points and four rebounds off the bench, while Jacob Toppin finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. Isaac McKneely chipped in 12 points and five assists, Henri Veesaar recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists, and Zeke Mayo scored 11 points off the bench.
Memphis also rested several prominent players, but Brendan Hausen turned in an impressive outing. The former Iowa guard led the Grizzlies with 21 points while knocking down multiple 3-pointers.
More importantly for Atlanta, the overall results in Utah were encouraging.
The Hawks won two of their three games while giving valuable developmental minutes to several young players and roster hopefuls. The balanced scoring, defensive effort, and improved chemistry provide positive momentum heading into Las Vegas, where many of Atlanta’s top prospects are expected to return to the lineup.
Summer League championships rarely predict regular-season success, but strong habits often carry forward.
The Hawks showed plenty of those throughout their stay in Salt Lake City, and they’ll look to build on that momentum when the action shifts to Las Vegas.
